2015, neural network, teleprompter
LSTM (Long Short Term Memory) is a neural network reading all books by inventor, singularitarian and Google’s resident futurist Ray Kurzweil, over and over again. Among those books are “How to Create a Mind” and “The Age of Intelligent Machines”. In doing so, the network learns how to form words, create neologisms, compose sentences and eventually how to formulate new ideas.
Kurzweil’s dream of achieving eternal life which also includes bringing back to live his deceased father is being fulfilled to a certain degree: his way of thinking and writing is transferred into code that is constantly being executed on a server.
For exhibitions, the AI based on Kurzweil takes on different shapes: website, app, teleprompter installation or LED screens.
